The PTSA Kit is designed to accurately determine the total volume of a closed-loop water system using a fluorescent tracer dye (PTSA). By adding a measured dose of PTSA and analysing the resulting concentration, this test provides a reliable, non-invasive way to calculate system volume — essential for correct dosing, treatment planning, and long-term system protection.
Please note: all samples must be returned by post at the customer’s own cost. This is not included in the test price.
What is PTSA?
PTSA is a colorless, non-toxic, and highly fluorescent tracer dye that can be used to estimate total system water volume. It does not interfere with corrosion inhibitors or glycol-based fluids and is safe for use in closed-loop hydronic HVAC systems.
